Adam Coopman - Trainer
Who am I?
Hi I’m one of the personal trainers here at Iveridge Health Club. I have over 2 years’ experience in the Health and Fitness industry helping people get fit and achieve their lifestyle goals by providing motivation, support and knowledge. I specialise in functional training methods to get all the body working, as well as strength conditioning and sports specific training.
I come from a rugby background and this is reflected heavily in my high intensity workouts, I also like a bit of banter so you are guaranteed to enjoy your sessions and have a laugh along the way.
I’m always happy to give any advice or answer any questions about your nutrition, and what you need to do to get the best results. If you would like a little taster of what my personal training sessions are like, don’t hesitate to ask for a free 15 minute session!
What do I offer?

What do I do to stay in shape?
I play amateur rugby…you may find some of my rugby drills in a Soldiers class every now and again. I do lots of free weight strength training on a split body routine 3-4 times per week to try and build muscle. I also do some cardio training a couple of times a week to keep my fitness up. I need to take care with my nutrition to make sure I take in enough calories to restore my muscles and help my body recover, so eating the right food at the right time is crucial to good results.

What do I do to stay in shape?
I train several times a week here, focusing on fat burning, core workouts and strength conditioning, using training aids such as kettlebells, kenisis, and free weights. I’ll also run a couple times a week with my boy (dog) George Best Skelton! However, I much prefer to do my workouts in my play time….
What do I do in my spare time?
Anything outdoors with the possibility of hurting myself! My biggest passion is mountain biking, usually fast and steep downhills but I love a bit of north shore, dirt jumps and trials riding! I’m currently planning next years summer holiday, riding in the French Alps! I also love bouldering and mountaineering, and plan to be a pro snowboarder and surfer sometime soon!
Music (heavy) is a big passion of mine, so when I’m not doing the above, I’m usually at a gig or festival rocking out!

Michael Wilson - Personal Trainer
Who am I?
Hi everyone! I’m a trainer at Iveridge Health club. I’ve been in the industry for over 2 years now and really enjoy working on a 1 to 1 basis. I like to make sure my clients enjoy their sessions, are set realistic targets and train hard! It gives me a real buzz to see people achieve their goals. I am here to help, so if you need a hand, a free 15 minute session or just feeling in need of motivation then give me a shout!
I have a qualification in sports nutrition and am really interested in helping people with their diet, I also specialise in reducing body fat and gaining lean muscle mass or toning. So together we can shift that extra unwanted bit of body fat that you never seem to be able to get rid of!
I also take classes throughout the week including Strike on Tuesday at 6:30am and Circuits on Friday at 6:00pm and recently the addition of “Simple fit” at 9:30am on Tuesday. This class has opened up a time for people looking for low impact exercise, so feel free to book in. I also cover Aerobics and Step on occasions which I thoroughly enjoy.
What do I offer?
- Guidance with nutrition and metabolic training that will get big results.
- Specialist personal programmes for reducing body fat and toning or gaining lean muscle.
- Senior sessions to help mature members stay motivated
- FREE 15 MIN PERSONAL TRAINING OR ADVICE; just give me a shout when I’m free.
What do I do to stay in shape?
I train 6 times a week, 3 weights sessions using heavy compound moments as they recruit the most muscle fibres and 3 cardio sessions using interval, long distance and fartlek training to achieve the best fitness levels. Sunday is a day of rest! Finally stick to your healthy eating plan! Although a treat once a week is something to look forward to. My advice, eat smart 90% of the time, the rest; enjoy yourself!

What do I do to stay in shape?
I wouldn’t really say I’m in shape. I do try to keep up with the younger members of the team but it is tough to get in great shape at my age. It takes dedication 4 hours a week, discipline with food and drink and a strong character to get where you want to be although I know from my experience anyone can do it with the correct support and nutrition. I do practice what I
preach 80% of the time though!
I did play football at a good level when I had hair. I now play 5-a-side football once or twice a week. I try to play golf (play off 18) once a week if time. I also try to train twice a week concentrating upon around 12-15 sets of challenging strength and cardio short blasts to keep my metabolic rate high each day. Most research shows that fitness & weight loss benefits are greater through short bursts of weights and cardio or as Team IVERIDGE call it ‘METABOLIC TRAINING’ - IVERIDGE’s Secret Formula.
